August was a very busy time for Little Chipipi...We received samples of our latest Organic Baby bed linen and had a great time launching the new range to trade at the Kids In Style trade fair! The show was held at the Melbourne Show grounds, a new venue, but one that worked very well to keep the boutique feel alive. It was great to see our many stockists and show them our exciting new range. Here is a sneak peek of some of the new designs which will be available in stores late September....keep an eye on our Shop page for when they are available. We also continued to show our popular ranges of Moveables wall stickers as well as our more recent Height Tree wall stickers.

Our 'soon to be released' new Organic Baby bedding designs have been much anticipated. This is the first range that we travelled all the way to India to see the fabrics during production!! As we only use organic fabrics and fair trade processes, it was a really great eye opening experience to see the designs being printed.

A friend of ours Brett, who lives in Bangalore, came along for some of the journey.

Bangalore to Mumbai and a bit in between. India has such fantastic colours and interesting sights. The people and food are fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

You may recognise the style of some of this 60's wrapping paper, from childhood presents. I found all these interesting wrapping paper snippets from a great book called 'All Wrapped Up! by Kevin Akers . The wrapping paper of this era is inspired by 'popular culture and sentimentality'. I really love the simplicity and design of the children's wrapping....and I especially find amusing the pictures of the housewives and their manly husbands!!

The circus comes to town!! Stunning illustrations similar to that of 'Where the Wild Things Are' artist Maurice Sendak.

I have to admit that I do love to collect quirky clothing labels, especially kids tags that are form-cut or different in any way. Here are a few from my collection...Nanui (surf brand), Big by Fiona Scanlan, Kid Mambo (velvet finish), Sosooki, Run Scotty Run (very cute doggy) and the more detailed and laser cut Katherine label.
We currently have a label for our Organic Baby range...but of course I would love to do a Little Chipipi car cut-out someday!!

Spotted some wildlife at the Wye River Big 4 last week. We even saw a koala in a tree! Wye River is situated along the Great Ocean Road near Lorne, Victoria. It was great to see our koala friends, we have featured many koala's on our designs. Our Animal Friends Placemats have a lovely big koala on them. We also feature koala's on our Baby Animals and Animal Alphabet Moveables wall stickers as well as our Baby Alphabet Organic Baby range of bed linen, see below.

Magazines arriving in the letterbox is a treat, 10 minutes alone with a drink flicking through one is a dream. Imagine my delight as I was oohing over this month’s issue of House and Garden when I spied out of the corner of my eye our Butterfly Patch Moveables on the wall of one of the bedrooms featured. Oh what a buzz. Look closely and you will see :)
